始自“酒鬼”酒的中國白酒“塑化劑事件”仍未平息,只不過焦點變為中國白酒行業的龍頭——貴州茅臺。
Beijing(CNS)-- High-end Chinese liquor maker Moutai released test results Monday showing that the amount of DEHP and other chemicals in its products are all in accord with national standards.
The move was in response to allegations that Moutai's products contain overly high levels of the toxic plasticizer DEHP.
Moutai said results from three different testing groups all showed that the amount of the chemical in its liquor was below the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL).
A netizen named Shuijinghuang had cited a Hong Kong lab test showing that 53-Degree Moutai Feitian, a product from the Kweichow Moutai Company, contained 1.4 times the amount of DEHP allowed by regulators.
The case is suspected of being a hoax, said Liu Jinhu, an analyst at Sealand Securities. The official response will help rebuild consumer confidence in the brand, he said.
