Youth vow eternal love on ‘doomsday’ wall

“希望在末日來臨前，能和他在一起”。10日，在西安的一家文化主題商店內(nèi)，寫滿各種表白的便簽貼滿了墻壁。隨著傳說中瑪雅歷法所謂“世界末日”的臨近，“末日表白”受到內(nèi)地年輕人的熱捧。

Xi'an (CNS) -- The world will soon end on December 21, 2012, according to some interpretations of the ancient Mayan calendar.

A shop in Xi'an is commemorating the event with a "final-wish wall" where the public can announce their desires in advance of the end of days.

"I hope to be together with him at the crack of doom," reads one of more than 100 posts already on the wall by Monday. The majority express romantic intentions such as wedding proposals and vows of eternal love.

We initiated the activity at the beginning of December, said the store-owner surnamed Wang.

"Even if doomsday doesn't happen, it's good to encourage everyone to announce their love loudly," Wang added.
