Shanghai skyscraper-in-progress tops 400 meters   

上海在建第一高樓突破400米

設計總高度為632米的上海在建第一高樓——＂上海中心＂8日突破400米，達到403.2米。作為上海浦東小陸家嘴地區超高層建筑群的＂收官之作＂，該樓將成為少見的＂綠色摩天高樓＂。

Shanghai (CNS) -- Construction of the Shanghai Tower reached 403.2 meters on Saturday. The finished height of the skyscraper is planned for 632 meters, which would make it the second tallest building in the world.

Together with the 420.5-meter Jin Mao Tower and the 492-meter Shanghai World Financial Center, the completed Shanghai Tower will form a skyscraper triangle in Lujiazui of Pudong District.

The building has already been awarded the Certificate of Green Building Design (China's three-star rating) and an LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

It is scheduled to go into operation by 2015.
