聯合國氣候變化多哈會議議程走過2/3,中國政府代表團團長解振華5日說,截至目前,談判取得了一定進展,但仍有很多分歧需要各國部長來磋商解決,有些問題上還在僵持。
Doha (CNS) -- The ongoing Doha climate talks have made progress, but ministers are still divided on some issues, the chief of China's delegation to the UN climate conference said on Wednesday.
Xie Zhenhua, who is also deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, made the remarks at a press conference. He said he hoped all three working groups of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the Durban Platform could achieve a balance.
The work of the Durban Platform has been carried out smoothly, while the other two groups are still working respectively to reach agreements on emission cut targets and medium-term climate funds, Xie said.
All the parties involved in the climate talks should seek common ground while reserving their differences, he said.
