Beijing(CNS) -- Seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady has failed to earn his first victory as a player for the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

The Qingdao Doublestar Eagles suffered their fourth consecutive defeat on Sunday, this time to the Shanghai Sharks on their home turf.

McGrady performed well, earning 23 points and 9 rebounds, but weak defense by the Eagles gave the Sharks the advantage they needed.

Shanghai was quick to isolate the former Orlando and Houston forward and force the other Eagles to do the heavy lifting, but they were not up to the task. The game concluded with a score of 93-77.
