E-commerce takes in RMB5.6 trillion in 3 quarters   

前三季中國電子商務市場交易額達5.6萬億元

中國國家工商總局副局長甘霖27日在此間表示，當前，中國網絡市場呈現持續高速發展態勢，今年前三季度，中國電子商務市場交易額達5.6萬億元人民幣，比去年同期增長25%。

Hangzhou (CNS) -- China's e-commerce trade volume totaled 5.6 trillion yuan in the first three quarters of this year, a year-on-year growth of 25 percent, according to an official source on Wednesday.

Online trade has penetrated into every layer of economic and social life in China, and the e-commerce sector is developing at high speed, said Gan Lin, deputy director of China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

Along with that robust growth some problems have arisen, such as the sale of counterfeit and shoddy goods and transaction disputes caused by a flawed credit system, Gan said.
