“我來到中國是為了要學習更多的中華文化”，22日一大早，在中國同學的掌聲和歡呼聲中，來自美國的潘小友走進了云南師范大學附屬世紀金源學校的教室，開始了他在中國的第一堂課。
Kunming (CNS) -- More than 100 contestants in the 5th "Chinese Bridge" (Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students) attended lectures at schools in Yunnan Province on Thursday.
Pan Xiaoyou, a contestant from the U.S., attended his first English class at Shiji Jinyuan School Attached to Yunnan Normal University, where he satisfied his curiosity about Chinese-style English teaching.
Pan was more challenged by the second class, where he practiced Chinese calligraphy and learned to write the word "Fu" with the help of classmates. He also sang a Chinese song to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with them.
In the afternoon, Pan participated in group activities and enjoyed talking with Chinese students at another secondary school.
At the end of the day, Pan told reporters that the teachers were strict and pressured him in class, but he still wanted to receive education in China and learn more about its culture.
