Beijing (CNS) -- Foreign economists attending the International Finance Forum (IFF) on Sunday agreed that China's economy has great potential and that the growth of its dynamic economy would continue.
Pieter Bottelier, an economist at Johns Hopkins University who is familiar with China, said the country's economy has a growing global influence.
In response to the prediction by the Ministry of Commerce that domestic demand would exceed investment to become the main economic drive, Bottelier said China will see positive developments in its economic transformation. He said that China, with renewed strength in the next decade, would be as large an economy as the U.S.
Domingo Felipe Cavallo, Argentina's former economy minister, said the emerging economies, especially China, would become a global growth pole.
China has great potential in the next ten years, said Changyong Rhee, chief economist at the Asian Development Bank.
