Bejing(CNS)--Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Asia should seek more international cooperation in order to embrace the challenges brought about by the change in the global economic landscape, Zhou Wenzhong, secretary-general of the Boao Forum For Asia (BFA), said at a press conference Thursday.
Zhou pointed out that with a strong talent pool and a sound market, Asian SMEs have not only served as one of the driving forces for economies in the region, but also emerged as important resources for developed countries.
Since SMEs have long been high on the agenda of the BFA, a meeting for Asian SME development is scheduled to be held next January. The event will bring policy makers, business leaders and scholars from across the world to give insights into the future path for Asian SMEs toward sustainable development, Zhou added.
