Shanghai (CNS) -- The CPI rose 1.9 percent year-on-year in September, easing from 2 percent in August, according to China's statistics authority on Monday.
It shows that price pressures are modest, but the CPI may see a rebound next year, experts said.
As prices of products and services continue to increase, and labor costs and land rentals go up as well, China's CPI may enter a new round of growth next year, said Wang Yuwen, a researcher from Bank of Communications.
China's CPI may rebound in the coming months, but the inflation rate will be controllable as GDP will grow moderately and the food supply is sufficient, said Qu Hongbin, chief economist of HSBC Bank (China).
