China, US to cooperate on inland navigation  

中美兩國內河航運展開合作

第三屆中國長江與美國密西西比河戰略合作論壇11日在湖北武漢舉行，地處長江中游的武漢新港與美國中央港區簽署合作協議，雙方將在港口建設與運營、多式聯運體系建設等領域展開合作。

Wuhan (CNS) - Wuhan New Port and the U.S. Port Group signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday at the Third Yangtze-Mississippi Strategic Cooperation Forum in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

According to the agreement, both sides will communicate on multimodal transport, share experiences in free trade at inland river ports, exchange development information, cooperate on navigation services, and promote the development of environmentally friendly ports.

The forum attracted over 400 officials, experts and scholars from the two countries.
