Beijing (CNS) - A Chinese delegation will attend the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group annual meetings between October 12 and 14 in Tokyo, according to state authorities on Tuesday.
The delegation is headed by Yi Gang, vice governor of the People's Bank of China, and Zhu Guangyao, vice minister of finance. China's big four state-owned banks are not included in this year's delegation, according to the central bank and the Ministry of Finance.
Each year the meetings bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics to discuss issues of global concern.
This year's meetings will focus on global economic issues such as the European debt crisis and reforms of the IMF and the World Bank Group.
