Tianjin (CNS) -- Attendees of the 2012 Summer Davos Forum, which concluded Thursday in Tianjin, said the meeting had boosted their confidence in the global economy.
Half of the world's growth came from emerging markets for the first time this year, said Gu Runhe, chief business officer of the World Economic Forum. With more such milestones reached, the forum unites countries to face the upcoming challenges, he added.
China's economic rise has benefited the whole world in the past and will do so in the future, said former World Bank Chief Economist Justin Yifu Lin, who added that Premier Wen Jiabao's reaffirmation at the opening plenary session had had great global effect.
Next year's Meeting of the New Champions will be held in Dalian, a city in Liaoning Province.
