廣州市檢察院12日通報稱，自2007年至今，廣州共有446名官員因瀆職落馬，其中處級以上官員73名(含4名廳局級官員)，通過立案查辦瀆職犯罪案件，廣州市檢察機關挽回經濟損失人民幣逾2億元。
Guangzhou (CNS) -- A total of 446 officials have been dismissed from their posts since 2007 due to dereliction of duty, Guangzhou's top prosecutorial body announced on Wednesday.
According to the city's procuratorate, 73 of the officials held division-level posts and higher, and over 200 million yuan in economic losses had been recovered.
The focus has mainly been on malfeasance that harms people's livelihoods, as well as energy resources and the environment, including the fields of construction, social security and health care, the procuratorate said.
The agency launched a campaign in February against market manipulation, production of fake goods and commercial bribery. As of early September, 51 officials had been linked to such behavior.
