Beijing (CNS) -- Technicians from CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. went to Pakistan on Monday to provide technical support for the assembly of railroad cars.
CNR Changchun first broke the western monopoly on railway products in Pakistan in 2001, when a contract involving 175 railroad cars was signed.
Chinese technology was then transferred to Pakistan, where the cars were assembled. CNR also assisted with factory construction and trained technicians and maintenance personnel.
Pakistan ordered another 202 broad-gauge track railway cars from China in 2010.
Train technology and capital exports are the route a company must take to become an international enterprise and enhance its market share, industry insiders said.
