Xiamen (CNS) – Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China remains second highest, according to the Chinese version of the World Investment Report 2012 launched Sunday in Xiamen, Fujian Province.
Flows to China's service sector have surpassed those to manufacturing for the first time, while global FDI flows have exceeded the pre-crisis average in 2011, but still remain below the 2007 peak, the report said.
FDI in China in 2010 and 2011 reached 68.8 billion and 74.6 billion dollars respectively, according to Sun Zhenyu, chairman of the China Society for WTO Studies.
FDI in China has dropped slightly this year due to an unstable global economy, Sun said.
