Zhengzhou (CNS)-- A total of 178,826 people are qualified to take the 2012 civil service exam in Henan Province, the local Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security said Wednesday.
The department announced that 4,727 positions are up for grabs, which means that nearly 38 applicants must compete for each job.
Taking the exam is an optimal choice for many of Henan's 485,000 recent college graduates. "I know passing the exam is just like winning a lottery," said 24-year-old Gao Lisheng, "but it's worth a shot."
