記者26日從中國公安部獲悉，近日，公安部指揮多地公安機關摧毀涉及30省區市的特大制售賭博機并合作開設賭場的犯罪團伙，抓獲涉案人員1500余人，收繳賭博機2萬余臺、賭資1600余萬元人民幣。
Beijing (CNS) -- Police have taken down a massive gang that had engaged in illegal gambling in more than 30 cities and provinces, the Ministry of Public Security said Sunday.
More than 1,500 suspects have been apprehended, and over 20,000 gambling machines and 16 million yuan have been confiscated, the ministry said.
Police in Wenling City of Zhejiang Province received reports in April that a local gaming center was making high profits from gambling machines.
The ministry then launched an investigation and discovered that a Guangzhou-based company that made the machines had partnered with the gambling ring.
