Beijing (CNS) –- The Chinese porcelain pieces destroyed on a TV show and now on display at the Capital Museum are fakes, the Beijing government announced Tuesday on its microblog.
The program "World Collection" ("Tianxia Shoucang"), whose host Wang Gang is known for destroying fake art pieces with a hammer, has come under scrutiny for allegedly smashing real and sometimes valuable pieces.
Yao Zheng, a member of the China Association of Collectors, has been particularly vocal in his criticisms, calling on more details from the government.
