近期,貴州茅臺申請“國酒茅臺”商標一事,引發業內外極大的關注。如果不是業內人士向媒體透露,“國酒茅臺”也許就將隱匿于當期初審公告中的逾兩萬個商標中,無聲無息地在十月份“轉正”。
BEIJING (CNS) – Chinese liquor producers, including Fenjiu, Ruyang Dukang and Wuliangye, have stepped up to oppose an application by Maotai for a "national wine" trademark.
In an open letter, Ruyang Dukang said most people can't afford the high price of Maotai, so it is improper to call it the "national wine."
The application passed a preliminary examination by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce in July.
According to Chinese trademark law, Maotai will receive the trademark if there are no objections, or if the objections are invalid, in three months.
