HK to promote traditional Chinese medicine  

香港倡設中醫藥發展委員會 中醫藥發展料將提速

香港特區行政長官梁振英14日宣布，決定成立中醫藥發展委員會及設立委員會籌備小組，月內展開正式工作，發展中醫藥及更好地照顧市民需要。香港有學者表示，小組的成立將是香港中醫藥發展的一個契機，國際化進程將提速。

Hong Kong (CNS) -- Hong Kong will establish a Chinese Medicine Development Committee to begin operation in a month, Liang Zhenying, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said Tuesday.

The committee will be comprised of experts from the industry and three Chinese medicine schools, according to Gao Yongwen, director of the Food and Health Bureau.

Gao, who will lead the preparatory team, said they will offer advice about suitable candidates for the committee and its functions.
