Over 1,000 tons of beer consumed at festival  

中國國際啤酒節喝掉啤酒超千噸

歷時12天的中國唯一“國字號”啤酒節——第14屆中國國際啤酒節6日晚在遼寧大連落下帷幕。據官方統計數據顯示，本屆啤酒節共接待中外游客130多萬人次，啤酒銷量超過1000余噸。

Dalian (CNS) -- The 14th China International Beer Festival concluded in Dalian, Liaoning Province on the night of August 6. The 12-day festival welcomed over 1.3 million domestic and foreign tourists, and more than 1,000 tons of beer were consumed.

Over 30 foreign and domestic brewers came to the festival from Germany, the US, Sweden, Japan, South Korea and other countries, bringing about 400 kinds of beer with them.

Some tourists said the festival was too short as it is a 'mission impossible' to complete a tasting of all 400 kinds of beer within 12 days.

The festival also set up a special arena to stage a competition where 50 foreigners competed with locals to down their beverages.
