Beijing (CNS) -- Looking at the geographical distribution of overseas Chinese that have returned to to be entrepreneurs on the motherland, over half, or 54 percent have come back from the US, 23 percent from Europe, ten percent from Canada, nine percent from Japan and three percent from Australia, according to report by Peking University and the China & Globalization Research Center, released on Monday.
According to the report, of the Chinese entrepreneurs returning from overseas, 46 percent of them studied science and engineering, 27 percent studied economics or business administration, 12 percent majored in law or other areas of the humanities, and the remaining fifteen percent graduated from medical schools or had other majors.
Males make up 90 percent of the returnee entrepreneur class.
The report concluded China is embracing a returning wave of talent stimulated by economic growth and beneficial government policies.
