7月5日，安徽省民政廳通報稱，6月25日以來強降雨導致安徽省境內122.7萬人受災、因災死亡9人。
Hefei (CNS) -- Strong rainfall since June 25 in Anhui Province has affected 1.227 million locals and caused nine deaths, the provincial Department of Civil Affairs announced Thursday.
Precipitation on June 25 and 28 caused flooding in 17 townships and cities. Strong winds and storms from July 2 to 5 have worsened the situation.
Preliminary statistics show that two deaths resulted from floods, six from lightning strikes, and one from shock by electric wire.
A farmland area of 824,000 hectares was submerged and 781 dwellings have collapsed, with another 2,521 damaged. Total economic losses amount to 434 million yuan (US$68.29 million), the authority said.
