黃埔海關19日通報，該海關日前聯手廣東省公安廳和臺灣警方成功查獲一起走私毒品大案，共繳獲氯胺酮40.198千克，并搗毀一個涉及中國大陸、臺灣、馬來西亞之間的販毒團伙。據悉，廣州市檢察院日前已對該案抓獲的5名犯罪嫌疑人提起公訴。
Guangzhou (CNS) -- Huangpu Customs at Guangzhou announced on Tuesday that it has broken a drug smuggling ring, in cooperation with the Guangdong and Taiwan police department. Some 40.198 kg of ketamine were seized; this anesthetic that can cause hallucinations if taken in large doses.
The city procuratorate of Guangzhou has laid charges against five suspects who allegedly smuggled drugs across the Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Malaysia.
Three Malaysians were arrested on July 31, 2011 at the Huangpu Customs carrying 84 bags of 21 kg packets of the controlled psychotropic substance.
Two Malaysian and Taiwan suspects were arrested later, and another Malaysian is still at large. The local authority is discussing international cooperation with Malaysian police regarding the suspect's apprehension.
