廣西考古人員近日在貴港市一漢墓中,發現一艘全長64.8厘米的東漢陶船,這為研究古代海上絲綢之路和漢代陶藝提供了珍貴實物資料。
Nanning (CNS) -- A pottery vessel made in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25–220) was recently discovered at a Han tomb in Guigang, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, adding new evidence that a Marine Silk Road existed, and new life to contemporary pottery studies.
The type of pottery it exemplifies was likely carried on board large transport ships up the golden waterway of the Xi River, a Marine Silk Road connecting the vital inland port of Guigang to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
The 64.8 cm long vessel is now displayed at the Hepu Museum and will be significant to the study of pottery making skills, vessels and shipping conditions during Eastern Han.
