HSBC starts fixed income fund in US

匯豐集團13日宣布在美國推出一只人民幣固定收益共同基金——“匯豐人民幣固定收益基金”。該基金主要投資于離岸市場上以人民幣發行的固定收益產品，包括債券和存款等，旨在為美國的投資者提供機會投資包括點心債在內的快速增長的離岸人民幣市場。

Shanghai (CNS) -- The HSBC announced on Wednesday it will establish a renminbi (RMB) fixed income fund in the U.S., to be invested in fixed income instruments in the offshore yuan market, including bonds and deposits.

The fund is expected to expand the local dim sum market and boom the offshore yuan market for American investors.

HSBC's cross-border yuan settlement services now operate in 59 countries and regions, giving it the widest network of all banks.

The first quarter of the year saw cross-border trade settlement in yuan growing by 61 percent year on year, said manager He Shunhua with HSBC.

Yuan internationalization will expand its influence in global trade, investment and capital markets.
