CFM International to develop jet engines for C919   

中國C919大客機給CFM國際公司帶來可觀發動機訂單

中國國產C919大客機唯一發動機供應商CFM國際公司(CFM)總載讓•保羅埃邦加13日在北京說，CFM已獲得中國C919國產大型客機235架發動機的訂單，并嚴格按照中國商飛的要求為C919研發LEAP-1C“中國芯”。

Beijing (CNS) -- CFM International has received an order for 235 jet engines from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), said CFM President Jean-Paul Ebanga on Wednesday.

Ebanga said they will strictly follow buyer requirements and develop LEAP-1C engines custom-made for China's domestic C919 passenger jets.

The LEAP-1C project was initiated in 2009 and the contract was signed in June 2011, said Ebanga. The C919 is expected to go into operation in 2016.

The global market will need 34,000 single-aisle aircraft in the next two decades, so China's C919, a type of single-aisle craft, will have promising market prospects, Ebanga added.
