在3日北京保利2012春拍近現(xiàn)代書畫夜場(chǎng)中,著名畫家李可染的《萬(wàn)山紅遍》以2.9325億元人民幣成交,刷新其個(gè)人作品拍賣紀(jì)錄,目前是今春拍場(chǎng)上單品成交額最高的中國(guó)藝術(shù)品。
Beijing (CNS) -- A painting called "Mountains in Red" created by renowned artist Li Keran in 1964 sold for 293.25 million yuan (US$46.04 million) at the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphies Evening Sale held by the Beijing Poly International Auction Company on Sunday.
The work was the single most expensive item at this year's spring auction.
Li painted the masterpiece after being "enlightened" by a poem written by late leader Mao Zedong. It is regarded as a milestone in his artistic life.
Li created altogether seven pieces from the same period. The one at the auction is the biggest and most valuable.
