Police burn illegal drugs in Fujian  

福建銷毀毒品及易制毒化學品4.2噸

福州6月3日電 (記者 張建忠)福建警方3日在福州銷毀各類毒品及易制毒化學品4.2噸。當天，福建舉行紀念“6•3”虎門銷煙暨毒品集中銷毀活動，全面展現禁毒決心。

Fuzhou (CNS) -- Police in Fujian Province incinerated 4.2 tons of narcotics and processing chemicals at a waste disposal plant in Fuzhou on Sunday.

The collective anti-drug activity commemorated the "destruction of opium at Humen" by national hero Lin Zexu on June 3, 1839.

Since 2010, Fujian police have reportedly investigated 7,736 drug cases, apprehended 8,406 suspects and seized 3,379 kilograms of drugs.
