Chinese navy helps commercial ship evade pirates  

中國商船遭疑似海盜小艇接近 海軍艦艇緊急救援

當(dāng)?shù)貢r間5月30日20時20分，中國南京遠(yuǎn)洋運輸公司“永嘉門”號商船在中國海軍第十一批護(hù)航編隊“微山湖”艦的伴隨護(hù)航下，安全抵達(dá)曼德海峽南口時，通過電話對中國海軍護(hù)航編隊的救援和護(hù)送表示感謝。

Gulf of Aden (CNS) -- A commercial ship from Nanjing Ocean Shipping Co arrived safely at the south entrance of Mandab Strait, under escort by Chinese naval vessel Weishan Lake at around 8:20 pm local time, May 30.

Chinese No.11 Naval Fleet on duty at that time had learnt at 3:43 pm that the commercial vessel was being followed at high speed by three small-sized and suspicious vessels in the waters near Mandab Strait. Weishan Lake was dispatched to the scene.

Around 4:10 pm, the naval and commercial vessel met up, immediately scattering the three suspicious boats, likely pirates.

Up to May 31, Chinese No.11 Naval Fleet has protected 122 Chinese and foreign ships and earned wide praise for its work.
