Beijing (CNS) -- China's income distribution reform is meeting five major issues, which demonstrated both the progress it has made over the past years and the difficulties the country faces in the years ahead, according to statistics released by the National Statistics Bureau on Tuesday.
In 2011, the average salary of a Chinese employee expanded significantly more than in 2010. However, as the authority's official Feng Nailin asserted, living standards, social equality, and a proper salary scale system are still the priorities.
First of all, the speed of salary increases in urban private companies is much faster than the growth rate of China's GDP.
The second comparison of note is that the average salary was inching upward more slowly than that of official financial revenues.
Third, taxes are jumping up faster than salaries. The good news is that personal income tax reform did reduce some tax burdens after it was enforced on September 1.
Another issue is the special case of rural migrant workers in cities. This category of earner makes more than 2,000 per month on average, a good sign for domestic respect of the laboring classes.
Last but not least, those within the financial sector still earn much more than people engaged in more basic industries such as agriculture, forestry, livestock farming and the fishery.
