Taiwan students will taste mainland firsthand

Beijing (CNS) -- An invitation has been extended to young students from Taiwan to compete for the chance to taste life on the Chinese mainland during a long stay from August 1 to 12.

The activity was officially kicked off on Wednesday by the Central People's Broadcasting Station (CPBS). The organizer promises to cover transportation expenses and offers each student guest an accommodation subsidiary of 8,000 yuan.

The competitors need to be older than 18 and submit a creative plan for their mainland visit to the official website of hellotw (http://bbs.hellotw.com) before June 25. The organizer will release the final list of 25 winners on July 15.

The student guests will experience civil life on the mainland and record their observations in images and videos to be displayed on mainstream media across the Straits.
