Beijing (CNS) -- Auto China 2012, the most influential auto expo in China, commenced in Beijing on Monday. The number of vehicles attending the expo, the venue size and the autos for the premiere, all hit record highs.
The expo, held now for over 20 years, has developed into the top fair in the industry worldwide, said Wang Xia, Secretary-General of the organizing committee. He added the expo is evidence of the promising future in store for the auto industry.
All of the well-known global auto companies participated in the fair; those with new products to unveil included Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Citroen, Renault, Fiat, GM, Chrysler, Land Rover, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Infiniti.
The fair is also an ideal platform for domestic auto companies to show their home-grown innovations and native brands.
