C. China: car collision kills 13

Tianjin (CNS) -- A delivery van crashed into a passenger car on provincial road S220 in central China's Henan Province on Monday afternoon. By midnight, 13 had been declared dead and 12 injured.

The accident took place at 2:30 p.m. when the two vehicles headed in opposite directions collided head on with each other. Three passengers in the overloaded car died at the scene.

The rest 22 injured were raced to an adjacent hospital, but 10 of them did not survive and 12 others are still being treated.
