Guangdong arrests 168 for commercial bribery

Guangzhou (CNS) -- The provincial procuratorate of Guangdong has arrested 168 public servants since February in connection with 165 alleged commercial briberies, according to the deputy procurator-in-chief Ou Mingyu who addressed a press conference on Saturday.

Several high authorities are involved, such as university deans and officials in charge of construction, resources, or environmental protection projects.

The provincial procuratorate is dispatching five teams around the province in connection with the functions of supervision, public prosecution, anti-corruption measures, malpractice crackdowns, and investigation of accusations.
