'White House' to be recreated in East China

Hangzhou (CNS) -- Film sets reproducing "the White House" and "the Pentagon" will be built in Hengdian World Studios, in east China's Zhejiang Province, announced Xu Wenrong, founder of the Hengdian Group, Thursday.

Besides these world known urban sites, forests, historic settings, cultural sites, and hi-tech locations will also be added to the base step by step, Xu added.

Regarding its post production team, Xu revealed that the company has offered some Hollywood talent fat-salaried positions to improve the crew profile.

Hengdian World Studios is China's largest film site. In 2011 alone, more than 4,000 television episodes were filmed here, about two-thirds of the national production.

More than 400 media companies have set up offices here and created 3.371 billion yuan in revenues for the base in the single year of 2011.
