Blue Bird to land on Xiamen

Xiamen (CNS) Blue Bird, the second largest school bus manufacturer in the US, will establish a plant at Haicang District of Xiamen City, south China's Fujian Province, to meet an annual production quota of 20,000 vehicles.

At present, Fengtai Motor Company is authorized by Blue bird to conduct the trial of the prototype vehicle.

Bluebird will assist Fengtai Motor and King Long Motor to explore overseas markets via its global network of sales, said its president Phil Horlock on February 21. In addition, Blue Bird will dispatch a team of experts to discuss details of the cooperation arrangement with the Chinese companies.

For their part, the two local car firms said they will help Blue Bird expand its market share in the Asia-Pacific region.
