Custom mini movies and plays trendy for weddings

Wuhan (CNS) -- The "prince" bent over to kiss the sleeping "princess" in her white wedding dress, and then she woke up and walked down the aisle with her prince. This scene was part of a young couple's wedding ceremony held on the evening of February 6 in Wuhan, Hubei Province.

Their nuptials revived the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, complete with stage lighting and music for the opening rite. It certainly impressed the guests.

The majority of couples now, especially those born after 1980, are inclined to stage a creative wedding, various wedding companies in Wuhan told a CNS reporter. Young people regard the traditional wedding ceremony as stereotyped and old fashioned, inadequate for reflecting their personalities.

"Nowadays young people value the freedom to choose approaches that bear the stamp of their personalities, and they often have unique insights about how their vows should be taken", says Wang Rui, a wedding planner in Wuhan, " Many post-80s aspire to making every detail of their wedding memorable for guests, so a variety of personalized wedding ceremonies have emerged."

To film a mini-movie or act in a play that depicts the engaged couple's romance has become trendy in the major Chinese metropolis of Wuhan.

Generally it takes 20 days to make a custom film and the cost ranges from 10, 000 to several tens of thousands of yuan in the Wuhan wedding ceremony market.
