Guangzhou (CNS) -- Hailed as the most revealing event in China, the 9th Sex Culture Festival will be held in Guangzhou this November.
This year's festival will be themed with the "Beauty of Sex," and aims to promote sexual virtue through publicity and education, according to Yang Daoben, vice chairman and secretary general of the Guangdong Provincial Population Culture Promotion Association. He spoke at a press conference on Thursday.
The beauty of sex is the beauty of civilization, morality and the senses, as well as inner feelings, said Yang. Recognizing the beauty of sex, one will naturally escape from the evil side of it and thus be civilized, he added.
In the eight years of the festival's existence, organizers have insisted on public sexology lectures in the auditorium of the provincial government building.
Initiated by Zhang Feng, director of the Guangdong Provincial Commission of Population and Family Planning, the event has had a wide impact all over the country.
