Wuhan(CNS)--The designer for the world's third highest tower, to be built in Wuhan, Hubei Province, released pictures of the tower's exterior model Tuesday, reported the China News Service.
It will be a streamlined trihedral building with a height of 606 meters. The building will combine local characteristics of Wuhan with state-of-the-art secured building technology, said the American AS+GG designer who finally won the right to design the tower.
As an investment by the Greenland Group, a leading comprehensive real estate enterprise in China, the tower will have 124 floors and a dome on the top which will present people with a 360°view of the city.
The advantages of a trihedral exterior will include resistance to wind and seismic activities. The tower will also be equipped with a fire protection system and monitoring system .
When built, the tower will have room for an art gallery, office spaces, hotels, and also provide platforms for international brand names and commercial activities.
