Shanghai government posted a new guideline to boost consumption of new-energy vehicles, lending support for development of new-energy vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, domestic news site thepaper.cn reported on Friday.
The guideline, posted on the municipality website on Friday, said Shanghai will shift away from general promotion of new-energy vehicles to targeted promotion of certain models and will also try to force some combustion engine-powered cars to upgrade to new-energy vehicles.
