The first agriculture-focused logistics center for China and the Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries began operation in the Trakia Economic Zone in Plovdiv, the second-largest city in Bulgaria, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Friday.
The facility, powered by e-commerce, will help promote agricultural trade among these countries in terms of marketing, sales and transportation, Xinhua reported.
Trade between China and the CEE countries reached $58.7 billion in 2016, or 9.8 percent of total China-Europe trade, China's Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
