BYD Auto Co, a key new-energy vehicle maker in China, unveiled its expanded battery-electric bus manufacturing facility, its largest in North America, on Friday in the U.S. state of California.
The expansion adds a new wing to the BYD Coach and Bus space, bringing the total manufacturing facility to nearly 41,805 square meters, according to a statement sent to the Global Times on Sunday. The addition nearly quadruples BYD's facility from its initial 2013 footprint in the area.
