Leading new-energy car maker BYD Co has won a multimillion-dollar contract to supply 170-megawatt solar modules for photovoltaic power plant projects in the U.S., the Chinese company said in a note sent to the Global Times on Tuesday.
The deal will be BYD's largest single solar module order in the North American market. BYD also revealed plans to launch its high-voltage B-Box home energy storage system in the U.S. later this year.
