In a move that will make many Chinese shoppers happy, Amazon China has decided to add 850,000 international products from Amazon Japan into the Amazon Global Store.
With this expansion, customers will be able to purchase products directly from Amazon Japan and enjoy the same quality as Japanese customers at VAT free prices. Orders from Chinese customers will be shipped directly from Amazon Fulfillment Centers in Japan and delivered to customers within seven to 12 working days.
Amazon Japan selection will be included in Amazon Prime China in the near future. The products from Amazon Japan include 16 categories and covers the most popular ones among Chinese customers, including apparel, shoes, luggage, jewelry, watch, camera, PC, toys, kitchenware and cosmetics.
"Since the launch of Amazon Global Store, we keep enhancing selection, delivery and customer experience." said Elaine Chang, Amazon China President. "We take a significant step forward by adding selection from Amazon Japan to fulfill our promise to provide Chinese customers with rich authentic international products."
Launched in November 2014, Amazon Global Store is the first localized global store that offers a selection of millions of items across 30 categories. Last year, the selections from Amazon UK were added into Amazon Global Store.
The products purchased by Chinese customers directly from Amazon U.S., Amazon UK and Amazon Japan are delivered from Amazon Fulfillment Centers overseas through Amazon global logistics capabilities. Furthermore, the Amazon Global Store provides a localized shopping experience in China, including Chinese shopping experience, single log-in, one shopping cart, local payment and China-based customer service.
