Out of 100 billionaires on the 2016 Forbes list of the world's 100 Richest In Tech, five are women, of whom two are from China.

The group is worth an estimated $18.1 billion. Their average net worth is $3.6 billion, considerably below the $8.9 billion average for the list as a whole. Let us have a look.

    No 5 Meg Whitman

    Net worth: $2.2 billion

    Source of wealth: eBay

Meg Whitman is the only one in the group who made her fortune by running tech companies rather than founding one. After heading Hasbro, Walt Disney and eBay for some time, she took over as CEO of Hewlett-Packard in September 2011 and has run Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which sells servers and software, since the company's split in November 2015.

    No 4 Judy Faulkner

    Net worth: $2.7 billion

    Source of wealth: health IT

Judy Faulkner, now 73, serves as CEO of Epic Systems, the health records software company she set up in 1979. Forbes estimated that she owned one-third of the company. Faulker's recent photo is unavailable.

    No 3 Lam Wai Ying

    Net worth: $3 billion

    Source of wealth: smartphone screens

Lam Wai Ying is such an unknown entity in this year's Richest In Tech list that even her photo is hard to find.

She, based in Hong Kong, made her fortune from supplying touch screens for smartphones, especially to Apple. She, serving as the chairman, owns 49 percent of Biel Crystal Manufactory, which employs 100,000 people in the Chinese mainland while her husband, Yeung Kin-man, serving as the chief executive, owns the rest.

    No 2 Denise Coates

    Net worth: $3.8 billion

    Source of wealth: online gambling

The UK entrepreneur who founded Bet365, one of the world's largest online gambling companies with his brother John, owns around half of the privately-held company.

    No 1 Zhou Qunfei

    Net worth: $6.4 billion

    Source of wealth: smartphone screens

Zhou owns the majority of Lens Technology, one of the world's largest manufacturers of screens for mobile phones and tablets. She was a factory worker in the glass industry before setting up her own company.
