China's home appliance giant Haier Group said Friday it has reached agreement with General Electric Co. to buy the latter's appliance business at 5.4 billion U.S. dollars.
In a statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Haier said the company will continue to suspend trading of its shares.
