East China's service sector flourishes

The service industry has been growing fast in East China's coastal region in recent years. The Goodbaby Group in East China's Jiangsu Province is the world's largest baby carriage manufacturer and has just started this year's hiring process. What is surprising is that rather than seeking product line workers, the company is looking for analysts, baby education experts, and sales managers.

The rise of the service sector is expected to boost the region's quality of growth.

The service industry in neighboring Zhejiang Province has also stepped up its influence on the local economy.

China's service sector grew 20 percent in the first four months of this year, easily outpacing manufacturing's 15-percent growth rate. The service sector also doubled the number of jobs it created in comparison with manufacturing.
