Chinese shares closed more than 1 percent lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 21.32 points, or 1.05 percent, to finish at 2,005.18.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 90.68 points, or 1.25 percent, to close at 7,151.49.
